San Miguel County, Colorado

San Miguel County was created on March 3, 1883 and was split from San Juan County. The county was named for San Miguel River. The county seat is Telluride.

San Miguel County is bordered by Montrose County (north), Ouray County (east), San Juan County, Dolores County ( south), San Juan County, Utah (west).
